Scale Quantizer. Cyclone Matrix Mixer.and many more! A Modular for Modules (3.3.1) 11:36:00 PM 5/5 By Cryptoclassic This is a great application for creating any module for synthesis out of nodes. Then you can arrange those modules into any configuration that you can think up! Seriously, make a drawing of any interface from your favorite synth and create it! Or take the filter interface from this synth and the arpegiator from that synth and make something new.
There are other programs that allow you to do this, but Audulus has a really consistant look and feel without being too arcane. What’s more, the support is TOP NOTCH! If you are confused or need help realizing some idea you have, Mark will work with you to figure out how or if it can be done. If you find a bug, and this actually happened to me, Taylor will send you a patch update. I really have never experienced better support for an app. But that wouldn’t mean anything unless this was a SUPER USEFUL SYNTH-BUILDING MACHINE and that’s exactly what this is. Finally, a modular synth I can afford!
(3.3) 11:24:00 PM 5/5 By HammerDulcimer As a long time amateur musician, I have always been interested in modular synthesizers. I fondly remember playing around with the Moog when it was first released, but never had the funds to actually own one myself. These days, hardware and software synthesizers are everywhere you turn, but for the most part they are still pretty pricey. Recently I was inspired to once again look at what was available. Native Instruments' Reaktor Blocks looked good, but was still a bit steep for my budget. Fortunately I discovered Audulus. While other software synths spend development time and energy on making a user interface that looks like a traditional modular synth, Audulus has captured the essential nature of the underlying principles.

The interface is simple and elegant and has no unnecessary fluff to get in the way. Everything you need to build your own patches is included. All the basic components found in a typical modular synth are available and their performance on even modest hardware is outstanding. I continue to be amazed at how smoothly the application runs even with extremely complex patches. The new 3.3 update brings an expanded library of pre-built modules as well as several new example patches.
Definitely the premier software modular synth for the Mac and iOS. Audulus is the future (0) 11:36:00 PM 5/5 By plurgid Audulus is the most well thought out, accessible, and artistically inspiring patching environment I’ve ever laid eyes on (and I’ve used nearly all of them). I’ve been a user since version 1, and it’s been amazing to see the evolution both of the software, and the community which has grown up around it. This new version (3) is simply breathtaking. Audulus is more than a tool, it is a musical instrument in the purest form. It makes inventing your own instruments, or diving down the rabbit hole and getting lost in your own unique sonic tapestry both easy, and frankly addictive.
Audulus is the Barron Von Schnizzle-issit! Excellent Major Update - A 'must have' app! (0) 7:32:00 PM 5/5 By Aureal The V3 version of the Audulus app is truly an excellent update to the original version. It provides for so much move flexibilty in the creative process of designing your own audio/music devices and yet, it’s very straightforward to use, with a superb, well designed user interface that allows for as much or as little compexity as you wish in your designs The sky is the limit on what you can come up with!
The tutorials are very well done and the example modules/presets help the user soon get to work making their own systems to use in their music The ability to use the Audio Unit plugin version of Audulus in a compatible DAW such as Logic or Live, is an added bonus indeed and well worth the price alone! It’s also worth mentioning that the user support provided by Taylor and Mark on their website, is top notch and sets the bar very high for all the other developers out there. This should be an absolute 'must have' purchase for any Mac musician out there. I'll allow it. (0) 12/9/2015 5:27:00 AM 5/5 By Banjul104 The rack style module layout is great!
I have used Audulus since the begining and have never been dissapointed. The developer(s) have been actively updating and innovating. There is also a large and growing community of talented people who share ideas. It's more than just a music app.

As of this review there were no in app purchases and all features were incuded with the initial purchase price. This was definitely a step in the right direction. I would highly recomend this app to anyone who likes synths and especially to those who love to design, build, experiment, learn, et cetera.
