I went ahead and purchased in March, the 5.5 'Medium-Stiff' shaft, ( I am 58 yrs old and have a swing speed around 100-102mph.) My miss is either a dead push right, about 20-30 yrds off line straight as an arrow to the right, or.it's a big sweeping hook.starts off either right side of fairway or right center of fairway and ends up 5 yrds into the left rough.a move of 20- 30 yrds to the left. My 'good drives' are in the 275-285 yrd range.which makes me want to continue to work on my swing plane. I believer my issues are 'my issues' with my swing.too far to the inside (flat) and not getting through the ball and finishing my forward move. I can tell this driver is 'HOT' when I get around on it.I am hitting my best strikes.30-40 yrds further than my previous driver. I can't give up on this one.no way.
I broke 2 of these clubs. The shaft is not very good. Club breaks VERY easily where the shaft enters the club. I did this once with a shot off the heel of the club.
I didnt throw and tantrum and whack the club on the tee grass!!) ahhahahah that aside. It isnt too bad a club but i found it difficult to control. You have to back off on the swing speed and put about 80-90% into it rather than muscle the shot. Plus the long shaft is a bit difficult to control as well. I managed to CRACK the head of the club. I dont throw tantrums after bad drives!) i just noticed a crack on the underside of the club parallel to the face.

I liked it cos it has a longer shaft (I am 6'4) and I'd heard all about Big Berthas. It put 20 yards on my drives immediately, sounds great, feels great, looks fantasic. Ball flight is very penetrating. Newer drivers claim to hit further, but I doubt i'll ever try them cos I absolutely love this Driver. If it ever gets damaged I will cry, before I search the planet for an identical replacement.
It really is the mutts nuts. Wish Callaway still made these, or a least drivers with the classic looks of the Biggest Big, and Great Big. Moved onto this from an old steel headed driver.
